Continue to nurture and relax, take it easy for the rest of the day.

  1. Listen to your body as it knows what it needs.

  2. Hydrate with plenty of healthy fluids for 24 hours after your massage as your body flushes toxins from the body.

  3. Avoid excessive heat for 24 hours.

  4. Try limiting alcohol, smoking, caffeine and fizzy drinks as they can dehydrate your body and add more toxins to the body.

  5. Avoid eating a heavy and especially spicy meal so your body can focus on natural healing and detoxifying itself.

  6. For the next 2-3 days after your treatment, your body is in “Healing Mode” and some people MAY feel ‘Healing Reactions’.

    Indications of this may result in the following:

    • Fatigue or tiredness

    • Nausea (hydrate with water)

    • Headaches

    • Increased sweating, thirst or urination

    • Irritable or energised

    • Heightened emotions (low or high)

    • Runny, stuffy or blocked nose

    • Sound sleeping and vivid dreams

  7. It is advisable for a follow up massage a week later as one treatment may not correct months and years of imbalances.

  8. Continuing with regular massages once a month will reduce muscle soreness greatly and may prevent any further injuries.
